Ice Fishing is a money wheel game show that Evolution launched in 2025. A presenter hosts each round next to a digital wheel split into 53 segments, and your bet is a call on where it lands. Leaf 1 and Leaf 2 pay even money on the spot. Lil' Blues, Big Oranges and Huge Reds start a fishing bonus in which every catch carries a multiplier – up to 500× on the biggest fish.
For players in Canada, the appeal is pace and simplicity. There are five spots to choose from, a short betting window and a result roughly every 20 seconds. Before the spin, random multipliers can light up some segments; after it, the flapper points to the winner and the payout follows straight away – or the show moves to the frozen lake.
Luck decides every round. The wheel is generated by software, and no sequence of bets makes one segment more likely than another. Your part is choosing the spots, the stake and the moment to stop – and getting used to the speed first, which is what the Ice Fishing demo guide is for.
How the wheel is divided
The 53 segments are not equal, and the layout is what sets the odds:
Leaf: 46 segments, 23 grey and 23 white, matching the Leaf 1 and Leaf 2 spots;
Lil' Blues: 4 segments;
Big Oranges: 2 segments;
Huge Reds: 1 segment.
On average, 46 of every 53 spins land on a Leaf and the other seven send the table fishing. To back all three fish types at once, use the All Bonuses spot.
Fairness and the RNG
Unlike wheel shows with a physical wheel, Ice Fishing is the first live title from Evolution that relies solely on a random number generator. The host is filmed live and keeps the show moving, but the result comes from a certified RNG rather than from anyone's hand. Who makes the game, how it is tested and how to recognize a fake version is laid out on the Ice Fishing legit or scam page.
Key Ice Fishing features
20-second rounds
Betting, spin and payout take about 20 seconds, so an Ice Fishing session moves quickly.
Bonus games that always pay
Every Lil' Blues, Big Oranges or Huge Reds round ends with a catch worth at least 3×.
Multipliers before the spin
A Leaf segment can get up to 10×, and a whole fish type can get 2× to 10×.
5,000× top win
A 500× Huge Reds fish times a 10× segment multiplier is the maximum.
RNG-driven wheel
A certified random number generator picks every result, and the live host presents it.
No download
The game streams to Android and iOS browsers with the same rules as on a computer.
Ice Fishing RTP, multipliers and bet limits
Three sets of numbers shape every Ice Fishing session: the return of each bet, the multipliers and the limits on stakes.
RTP and volatility
RTP differs by bet spot in Ice Fishing. The two Leaf spots sit at 97.10%, which means C$100 wagered on them returns C$97.10 on average over a very long stretch of play. The fish spots are a bit lower: Lil' Blues 95.69%, Big Oranges 95.60% and Huge Reds 95.17%. Here is how the five spots compare:

Leaf bets are the steady end of the game: a near-even chance at even money, so the balance moves slowly. Fish bets are the volatile end: Big Oranges wins on fewer than 4 spins in 100 and Huge Reds on fewer than 2, but their multipliers reach 200× and 500×. Worth knowing: even money alone would give a Leaf bet a return of about 86.8%, and the 3× to 10× Leaf multipliers lift it to 97.10%.
Multipliers and max win
Once bets close, Ice Fishing assigns random multipliers. One Leaf segment can receive 3×, 4×, 5×, 7× or 10×. A fish type can receive 2×, 3×, 4×, 5×, 6×, 7×, 8× or 10× on all of its segments, and if the wheel then stops there, every fish in that Bonus game has its multiplier raised by that factor before the host starts reeling.
Take a C$5 bet on Big Oranges as an example with round numbers. The Big Oranges segments get 3×, the wheel stops on one of them, and the host lands a fish showing 40× – raised to 120×, for a payout of C$600. The ceiling is 5,000× the stake, reached only with a Huge Reds bet, a 10× segment multiplier and the 500× fish together, and a single round pays at most C$500,000.
Bet limits
Bets in Ice Fishing run from C$0.10 to C$10,000 per round, and each casino can set its own range inside those limits. Because the wheel turns roughly three times a minute, small stakes add up: C$2 a round for 30 minutes means about 90 bets and C$180 wagered in total. Turning that into a sensible plan is the subject of the Ice Fishing strategy page.
How to play Ice Fishing in Canada
Every Ice Fishing round runs through the same four steps.
Step 1 – Choose your spots
When the betting window opens, place chips on Leaf 1, Leaf 2, Lil' Blues, Big Oranges, Huge Reds or several of them. The All Bonuses spot puts a bet on all three fish types in one move.
Step 2 – See where the multipliers land
The window closes and the game adds random multipliers – to one Leaf segment and sometimes to all segments of one fish type. From here on, your bets are fixed.
Step 3 – Wait for the flapper
The wheel spins and slows to a stop under the flapper. A Leaf segment pays 1:1 at once, or more with a multiplier; a fish segment starts the matching Bonus game.
Step 4 – Watch the catch
In the Bonus game the camera moves to a frozen lake full of fish with multipliers. The host slowly reels one in, and its value appears as it leaves the water. Every player can watch, but only those who backed that fish are paid. The same steps work on a phone – the Ice Fishing app guide covers the setup.
About Evolution
Evolution, the developer of Ice Fishing, specializes in live casino. Its studios host dealers and presenters who run tables and game shows in real time, and licensed online casinos take those streams into their lobbies. Ice Fishing is filmed in Evolution's studio in Latvia, uses several cameras, has live chat and is presented in English, which makes it straightforward for players in Canada to follow.
The look matches the studio's other shows: HD video, an augmented-reality wheel beside the host, an animated Arctic lake and sound that fills in the scene – wind, cracking ice, a splash when a fish breaks the surface.
Other Evolution games
If you know Crazy Time, Ice Fishing will feel familiar: a wheel, bet spots and bonus rounds. Dream Catcher and Monopoly Live work on the same principle. The difference is scale – Ice Fishing trims the format to five spots and a single kind of bonus round, which keeps each round short.
Testing and certification
Evolution's games go through independent testing laboratories – eCOGRA, iTech Labs, BMM Testlabs, NMi and Quinel among them. These labs examine the random number generator and compare a game's payouts with its published RTP.
