Ice Fishing is a money wheel game show from Evolution, released in 2025. A host broadcasts from Evolution's studio in Latvia next to a digital wheel of 53 segments. Players choose between two Leaf spots that pay even money and three fish spots that open Bonus games, where the host reels in fish with multipliers attached.
The main numbers at a glance:
RTP of 97.10% on Leaf 1 and Leaf 2, and 95.17% to 95.69% on fish bets;
stakes of C$0.10 to C$10,000 per round;
a top win of 5,000× the stake, capped at C$500,000;
about 20 seconds per round;
results from a certified random number generator.
The game is offered at online casinos that carry Evolution's live lobby and can be played on a computer or in a mobile browser.
What makes Ice Fishing different
Classic wheel shows use a physical wheel that a presenter spins by hand. Ice Fishing breaks with that: it is Evolution's first live title that relies solely on a random number generator. The wheel exists only on screen, and the host – filmed live – presents the round and reels in the fish, but has no influence on how it ends.
That is exactly what makes some players wary. A real wheel feels transparent because you watch it turn; a software wheel invites the question of who controls it. The answer is the same as for slots and other RNG games from large studios: independent labs test the RNG, the game reaches players through licensed casinos, and every bet's odds follow from the published layout. With 23 of 53 segments per Leaf spot, the 43.40% chance is easy arithmetic.
The live elements are genuine: several cameras, a real presenter and live chat. The spinning wheel and the slow reeling-in are how the RNG's result is presented to you.
Fairness in Ice Fishing
What decides the outcome
Each round has three random elements: the segment where the wheel stops, the segments that get multipliers and the fish the host catches in a Bonus game. A certified RNG produces all three. The layout never changes – 46 Leaf segments, 4 Lil' Blues, 2 Big Oranges and 1 Huge Reds – so each result has the same probability on every spin, no matter what came before.
How you can check a round
The RNG itself is not visible, but the settlement of each round is. Note the multipliers shown when betting closes, the segment under the flapper and, in a Bonus game, the fish's final value. Then match them against your balance and the bet history in your casino account, where each round appears with its stake and payout. If a payout does not match what you saw on screen, the casino's support team can look the round up in its records. Over a long run, around 87% of spins should land on a Leaf and around 13% on a fish – the proportions built into the wheel.
Evolution: the company behind Ice Fishing
The studio
Evolution creates and operates live casino games. Its studios run tables and shows with real presenters and dealers around the clock, and online casinos stream them into their lobbies. Ice Fishing is produced at its studio in Latvia, with multiple camera angles and live chat.
Recognition
Evolution's catalogue includes some of the most played live game shows – Crazy Time, Dream Catcher, Monopoly Live – alongside live roulette, blackjack and baccarat. Ice Fishing brings that game-show style into a shorter, simpler format, keeping the live presenter and studio graphics that the studio's shows are known for.
Licensing and certification
Evolution distributes its games through licensed online casinos and has them tested by independent laboratories, including eCOGRA, iTech Labs, BMM Testlabs, NMi and Quinel. The labs review the random number generator and check payouts against the stated figures before release.
Security when you play Ice Fishing
Encrypted casino sites
Licensed casinos secure sign-ins, payments and personal details with HTTPS encryption. Check for the padlock in the address bar before entering anything.
Licensed operators
Genuine Ice Fishing tables are found at licensed casinos supplied by Evolution. Holding a licence obliges an operator to protect player funds, verify age and identity, and offer deposit limits and self-exclusion. The licence details are usually shown at the foot of the casino's site; look for them before you sign up.
Certified RNG
Results come from an RNG that independent labs have tested. The casino receives the game as a stream from Evolution; it does not generate the results itself.
Can you really win at Ice Fishing?
You can – Ice Fishing pays out real money, and one spin can return anything from an even-money Leaf win up to 5,000× the stake. Over time, though, the RTP takes over: C$97.10 back for every C$100 on Leaf bets and C$95.17 to C$95.69 on fish bets. The gap, a house edge of 2.90% to 4.83%, cannot be removed by any way of betting.
Every result is random, and no pattern of bets changes that. Winning sessions happen, especially when a Bonus game arrives with a segment multiplier, yet losing sessions are just as normal. For scale: 100 rounds at C$1 cost about C$2.90 on Leaf bets and C$4.83 on Huge Reds on average, while any single session can land far above or below that. The top prize needs a 1-in-53 Huge Reds stop, a 10× multiplier on it and the 500× fish all at once, which most players never see. What you control is budget and stake – the Ice Fishing strategy guide explains how to manage both.
Warning signs of a fake Ice Fishing
No information on fairness
The real game runs on Evolution's certified RNG. If a site cannot tell you who supplies the game or how results are produced, walk away.
Unknown developer
Ice Fishing is an Evolution game, and the casino lobby and the game's rules screen show the studio's name. A look-alike from an unknown studio, or one with a different layout or payouts, is a copy.
No licence
A casino that shows no licence has no one overseeing how it pays and treats players. Such sites also tend to lack deposit limits and self-exclusion, and leave you nobody to complain to if a payout goes missing. Do not deposit.
Promises of guaranteed wins
Any site, signal group or predictor that claims to forecast the wheel or guarantee a win is a scam – the results are random.
Withdrawals that never arrive
Repeated document requests, new fees or excuses when you cash out are the mark of a dishonest operator, not of the game.
Bonuses that look too good
Oversized offers with hidden wagering rules – or no rules at all – are a classic lure. Read the terms before you accept.
Apps and APKs from unknown sources
The game does not need a download. An Ice Fishing app from an unknown website may be designed to take your data or your money.
Is Ice Fishing legit? The conclusion
Taken together, the facts are clear. Ice Fishing comes from Evolution, a large and established live casino studio, and reaches players through licensed casinos. A certified RNG decides its results, the wheel layout and RTPs are public, and the odds of each bet can be worked out from the layout. The real risks are fake copies and dishonest sites, not the original game – so choose the genuine Evolution table at a licensed casino.
Being legit does not make the game easy to beat. The house keeps 2.90% to 4.83% over time, and with a round every 20 seconds a budget can go fast. Watch a few dozen rounds before you bet – the Ice Fishing demo page explains how.
Ice Fishing legit or scam: questions
Is the Ice Fishing wheel rigged?
No. A certified random number generator, tested by independent labs, decides the wheel, the multipliers and the fish. The host cannot affect results.
Who is behind Ice Fishing?
Evolution, the live casino studio known for Crazy Time and Dream Catcher. The show is broadcast from its studio in Latvia.
Is Ice Fishing a real live game?
The host and the studio are live; the wheel is digital. Ice Fishing is Evolution's first live title built entirely on an RNG.
Does Ice Fishing pay real money?
Yes. Licensed casinos pay Ice Fishing wins in real money, up to 5,000× the stake. Over time the game returns 95.17% to 97.10% of stakes depending on the bet, so losses are part of it.
How do I know an Ice Fishing table is genuine?
Play at a licensed casino, check that the lobby lists the game as Evolution's Ice Fishing and compare it with the known figures: 53 segments, Leaf at 1:1 and fish up to 100×, 200× and 500×.
Can an Ice Fishing predictor app beat the wheel?
No. An RNG cannot be predicted, and predictor tools that ask for payment or login details are scams.
